From the Rebar Fantasies collection comes Stag Trophy Head, a lyrical expression of wildness, stillness, and the forest held in steel.

Wrought from coarse rebar in bright emerald green, ruby green and brazen bronze - this stag lifts its head and antlers toward the sky, caught at the moment it hears something far away. It is mounted on a rough-cut slab of dark wood, and the uneven edges of the slab make it feel as if the animal has just stepped out of the trees. The antlers rise in sharp angles, and the face and neck are built from fine geometric lines that look both strong and delicate. Light passes through the open lattice, so the wood grain shows through the steel.

This Stag is a tribute to the quiet power of wild animals, to the craft of turning raw construction material into something graceful, and to the pause just before a deer decides which way to run.
