Sea Lion

From the Rebar Fantasies collection comes Sea Lion, a lyrical expression of curiosity, calm, and the quiet pull of the open water.

Wrought from coarse rebar in deep ocean blue, this figure rises from the ground with its chest lifted and its head tilted toward the sky, as if it has just heard something far away. The long flowing back, the strong flippers, and the upturned nose are all built from straight, angular steel, yet the pose feels soft and alive. Light passes through the open lattice, and the shadows it throws on the floor ripple like water.

Sea Lion is a tribute to the animals that live between sea and shore, to the joy of simply looking up, and to the gentle strength found in stillness.
